Oct. 21, 2008 – Toronto – Book launch for In Search of Time. 6 – 9 p.m. at the Charlotte Room. (19 Charlotte St., near King/Spadina.) There will be tasty treats, time-related music and images, and of course books. All are welcome!

Oct. 24, 2008 – Ottawa – I will be speaking at the Ottawa Writers Festival, 6:00 p.m. The event will be at Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington St. After my talk, stick around for Leonard Susskind -- his talk on quantum theory and black holes is sure to be stimulating!
Oct. 28, 2008 – Waterloo – I will be speaking in Waterloo together with science writer Jay Ingram. The event is at 7:00 at the Princess Twin Theatre, 46 King St. North.
Nov. 6, 2008 – Toronto – This one should be fun! I'll be speaking at Hart House at the University of Toronto, together with physicist John Moffat, who has just written a provocative book on gravity. This event is part of the U of T Bookstore Reading Series.
Nov. 14, 2008 – Kingston – I will be speaking at the Kingston Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada at 7:30. The event will be held in Stirling Hall, Theatre A, Queen’s University.
Nov. 26, 2008 – Toronto – This will be a big one! I’ll be speaking at the Toronto Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, in the main auditorium of the Ontario Science Centre.
Dec. 3, 2008 – Waterloo – I'll be speaking at the University of Waterloo (location TBA) at 7:00 p.m. The event is hosted by the Centre for Inquiry.
Dec. 5, 2008 – Chicago – I'll be signing copies of my book at Barbara's Bookstore, located inside Macy's, 111 State St. North, Chicago, at 12:00 noon.
Dec. 5, 2008 – Chicago – I'll be speaking at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, as part of their "Far Out Fridays" lecture series. The talk is at 7:00 p.m.
Dec. 12, 2008 – Toronto – I'll be speaking at the Centre for Inquiry, 216 Beverly St., at 7:00 p.m. (There is a $5 admission fee for non-members.)
Jan 10, 2009 – Glendale, California – I'll be having a discussion and signing at the Borders bookstore in Glendale at 3:00 p.m. The store is at 100 S. Brand Blvd.
Jan 13, 2009 – Toronto – I'll be speaking at the University of Toronto Astronomy and Space Exploration Society (ASX), at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held in the U of T Medical Sciences Bldg., Rm. 2172.
Jan 14, 2009 – Toronto – I'll be discussing In Search of Time on CityTV's popular morning show, "Breakfast Television." The interview will air sometime between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m.
Jan. 17, 2009 – Philadelphia – I'll be speaking at the Philadelphia Association for Critical Thinking (PHACT) at the Community College of Philadelphia, at 2:00 p.m.
Jan. 21, 2009 – Long Island – I'll be speaking at the Astronomical Society of Long Island, at the Vanderbilt Planetarium in Centerpoint, Long Island. (Time TBA.)
Jan. 22, 2009 – New York – I'll be on "The Leonard Lopate Show" on WNYC. Listeners in the New York area can catch the show at noon; the Podcast can also be heard via iTunes.
Jan. 25, 2009 – Baltimore – I'll be speaking at the Baltimore Ethical Society, at the Congress Hotel, 306 West Franklin St., in downtown Baltimore, at 10:30 a.m.
Feb. 6, 2009 – Toronto – I’ll be speaking at the Mississauga Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada at 8:00 p.m. The meeting takes place at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus.
Feb. 20, 2009 – Halifax – I’ll be speaking at the Physics Department at Dalhousie University at 12:35 p.m.

Feb. 26, 2009 – I'll be discussing "time" on the U.S. syndicated radio program, The Dennis Prager Show, at 11 a.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Eastern). The show will also be available online and via podcast.
Mar. 11, 2009 – Oakville, ON – I'll be giving an illustrated talk on "time" at the Oakville Public Library at 12:00 noon. This event is part of the U of T School of Continuing Studies "University Lecture Series." (Admission charge for the series applies.)
Mar. 21, 2009 – Miami, FL – I'll be giving a short talk on "time" at Borders bookstore, Aventura Mall, Miami, at 2:00 p.m.
Mar. 26, 2009 – Toronto, ON – I speak at the Toronto Chapter of Mensa. Details TBA.
Mar. 28, 2009 – Toronto, ON – I'll be discussing In Search of Time at Ad Astra, Toronto's annual science fiction and fantasy convention. The talk will be at 10:00 a.m. in the Crowne Plaza - Don Valley Hotel. I'll also be taking part in a signing session at 3:00 p.m. and a panel discussion on the International Year of Astronomy at 8:00 p.m. (These events are open to paid delegates of Ad Astra.)
April 9, 2009 – Toronto, ON – I'll be giving a colloquium on "time" in the Physics Department at the University of Toronto. The talk is at 4:00 p.m. in Rm. 102 of the McLennan Physics Laboratory. This will be a non-technical presentation, and all are welcome.
April 17, 2009 – London, ON – I'll be giving an illustrated talk on "time" at the London Centre of the RASC. The RASC monthly meeting is held in Room B1073, Fanshawe College, 7:00 p.m.
April 21, 2009 – Cambridge, MA – I'll be discussing "time" at the MIT "COOP" bookstore, Kendall Square, Cambridge, 5:00 p.m.
May 7, 2009 – Winnipeg, MB – I'll be participating in "Indigo Space and Science Night" at Indigo bookstore (Kenaston Common), along with physicist John Moffat (Reinventing Gravity) and science writer Sheilla Jones (The Quantum Ten). 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
May 8, 2009 – Winnipeg, MB – I'll be giving an illustrated talk on "time" at the Winnipeg Centre of the RASC. The RASC monthly meeting, held at the Schultz Lecture Theatre, St. John's College, U of Manitoba, 92 Dysar.

June 28, 2009 – Toronto – As part of the "Sunday Scene" lecture series at The Power Plant gallery, I'll be offering my response to their current exhibit, "Universal Code", which explores the origin and nature of the universe. The gallery is located at Harbourfront Centre. 2:00 p.m.

January 26, 2010 – Toronto – I’ll be moderating The Great Time Debate, a panel discussion with cosmologist Dick Bond, physicist Lee Smolin, and philosopher James Robert Brown. OISE auditorium, University of Toronto campus. 7:00 p.m.
January 29, 2010 – Mississauga – I’ll be giving an illustrated talk on “Galileo’s Italy” at the Mississauga Centre of the RASC, held in the UTM South Building, SE2082. 8:00 p.m.
February 5, 2010 – Ottawa – I’ll be discussing my book, In Search of Time, at the Ottawa Centre of the RASC, held at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. 8:00 p.m.
March 5, 2010 – Toronto – I'll be discussing the enigma of time at a "Treehouse Talks" event, 6 p.m., in room CR2 of the MaRS building, 101 College St., Toronto. Admission is free and all are welcome.
